2. Your collection

Booking for collection date Council collects on Tuesdays. Bookings must be made by the Friday before.

Type of items The council takes each type as a separate booking. Tick all that apply.

Mattresses and bed bases Furniture, rugs and outdoor items Metals, whitegoods, electronics and appliances

Description of items for disposal onto the street kerbside List each item and its approximate size, e.g. “1 x queen mattress, 1 x 3-seater sofa, 1 x small washing machine”.

Please describe the items you would like collected.

What the free council service does not take

Hazardous materials and household chemicals
Renovation, building or demolition waste
Mirrors and glass items, including furniture with glass tops
Carpet, off-cuts and underlay; cement, stone or marble items
Car parts, tyres and batteries
Heavy or extra-large items (over 1.5 m long or 100 kg)
Small items that fit in a bin, and general waste or recycling

These must be arranged privately at your own cost.
